These are the new covers I have obtained for my book "The Sun Zebra." They were made by the talented artist Julia Baumgard, and I am really thrilled by them. Please let me know which cover you like by voting in the poll below. The poll will be open for a week, and I will take your combined opinion into account when I republish my book with the new cover. For those of you who are in the process of reviewing my book please let me know if you want a copy with the new cover. For those of you wishing to review my book send me an e-mail to phantomimic@gmail.com and I will send you a copy.

Thank you very much for your participation!

I would choose between two and three. I'm eager to see what you choose!

Hmmm difficult. I think I like 3 best, but 2 is a close second. For some reason, I think 3 might sell better.

The title seems at loggerheads with the image for the book. What is the book actually about? Is it about a child, or a man or a zebra? And how does the sun come into it? I know nothing about your book, I am simply looking at the cover and title and what it is conveying to me.

My apologies Christine. The Sun Zebra is a "children's book for grownups." It is about the adventures in living of an unusual little girl named Nell, her mother Rhonda, and her father who is the narrator of the stories. I cannot go into more detail as to why "zebra" or "sun" as it would be a spoiler, but you can read the first few pages by clicking on the red bolded "The Sun Zebra" at the top of this page. This will take you to the book's Amazon page and there click on the cover and read the sample.

Thank you for your comment.

I read the book. It is a wonderful series of stories told through the eyes of a father who is constantly enlightened by the way his gifted young daughter views the world.

2 speaks volumes. Red draws the eye and the pattern connects father and daughter. Very nicely done. :)

I like no. 2. No 3 is cute, but it's just a cute kid with a lollypop -- there's no story there and it could be about anything. No. 2 implies a relationship between two people, and that's the start of a story.

I really like #4 having already read the story, I think it fits perfectly.

I like #2 very much, but the red on the clothing reminded me of blood, and the father's hand is not really clearly holding the daughter's, so I voted for #3.
If the color for #2 could be changed so it doesn't look so much like blood, and the father's hand could be shown to be more extended to be truly including the little girl in his world and holding her hand, I would choose that as the design is very good.
#4 is very good, but the colour purple just doesn't say Sun Zebra to me. Perhaps if it was in orange and yellow.
It's a tough decision. all of them have merit.

Looks like I went with the majority. Very nice, all, though.

Thank you all for your votes. You guys are wonderful! Covers #2 and #4 ended up in a statistical dead heat so I have decided to select cover #2. As opposed to cover #1 and cover #3, I think cover #2, like Cara Bristol wrote above, "...implies a relationship between two people, and that's the start of a story." Cover #4 was also great but perhaps it is a bit too "artsy." I want to keep this simple. I will republish my book soon with the new cover. Thanks again to all and take care!
